Jacques Brel Is Alive And Well And Living In Paris (1966 Original Off-Broadway Cast)
I was listening to the 2006 Off-Broadway Revival soundtrack of 'Jacques Brel Is Alive And Well And Living In Paris' when I got high and starting pining for Elly Stone's rendition of 'Old Folks'. Then I totally forgot about that and wanted to watch the movie version. I looked everywhere for a place that streamed it, but all I could find was torrents and I didn't have the time. So as a last resort I went to iTunes to see if they sold digital copies of the movie. They didn't, so I begrudgingly bought the original 1966 Off-Broadway soundtrack instead.

Tiffany - I Think We're Alone Now
I was indeed alone when I decided to purchase this, save a fat dub and my bong, and it was like three in the morning, and there sure didn't seem to be anybody around, so I needed to hear this, and fast. So when the download was complete, I layed back and listened while Tiffany was singing the words to my life.

Lucille Bogan - Shave 'em Dry II
One of the many dangers a man faces when browsing iTunes while high is forgetting what songs he already has. Not a complete waste though, as iTunes offered a much higher quality version of the classic Bessie Smith/Lucille Bogan gross-out 'Shave 'Em Dry' than my puny copy.

Edith Piaf - Mon Legionnaire
One time when I was getting high, I remembered another time I was getting high, but with friends, in a hotel room near Canada. Edith Piaf's beautiful, haunting 'Mon Legionnaire' was playing then, and I had gotten so high I believed I could relive that moment with a push of a button. I may have been wrong, but I was not sorry!

Orlando Pops Orchestra & Andrew Lane - Funeral March of a Marionette
From the album '100 Hits Classics of Relaxation' is the Orlando Pops Orchestra's take on 'Funeral March of a Marionette' by Charles Gounod. I had ordered it while I was laying on the couch watching this:

Atomic Kitten - Eternal Flame
A few nights ago I had just finished talking to friend from the navy when all of the sudden I got really high ... I started browsing iTunes through my iPod touch, and I decided to download 'Eternal Flame' -- my A-School theme song. But I didn't know which one to pick: The Bangles or Atomic Kitten? The Bangles may have made the original, but in A-School, I couldn't get enough of Atomic Kitten, so I went with their version. I later downloaded The Bangles version for free.

Jacques Brel - Le Moribond
One night I had Terry Jack's 'Seasons in the Sun' in my head, so I went to Wikipedia to learn more. I learned that 'Seasons in the Sun' was originally written by the amazing Jacques Brel under the title 'Le Moribond'. They are otherwise not very similar. I was very high and feeling very intercontinental, so I paid .99 for the original 'Le Moribond' off the compilation album 'Infiniment'.

Valerie DeLaCruz - Thank You For Being A Friend
I was pretty stoned at work the other day, and me and a co-worker were talking about how much we LOVED The Golden Girls, and during my break I bought the show's theme song, 'Thank You For Being A Friend' by a woman named Valerie DeLaCruz. I thought it would be the same song, but this version is slightly different (though still highly enjoyable); the show's version is a cover of the original by Andrew Gold sung by Cindy Fee.
